There are different social perspectives of human trafficking in the United States versus East Asia and the South Pacific. These regions vary on the statistics of human trafficking, the types of government organization and efforts used to stop it, and the justice that those who are guilty of this crife face. What are these differences and why do they occur?

Where do all of the slaves origionate from? How, today, are people still bought and sold without anyone knowing? How do these slaves become slaves and how do they not escape, knowing full well it's illegal?
